EYG Chess Club x Portuguese Story – ‘Beat the Importer’

This month, our “Beat the Brewer” challenge takes a more sophisticated turn as we welcome Roman Gonitel, director of Portuguese Story Ltd and importer of some of Portugal’s finest wines, to take on the challenge!

Beat Roman and not only will you conquer the board, but you’ll also take home a bottle of Portugal’s finest.

As always, our chess club is open to all abilities. Bring friends or come alone and meet some new ones.

Plus tap takeover with lots of very lovely Deya beers to try.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. The Chess Club Xmas Do with a chance another chance to ‘Beat The Brewer’

This time with the award winning Pomona Island Brew will be heading over the Pennines from Salford for the challenge. Will brewer James’ chess game be as good as his beer game? There’s only one way to find out! Beat the brewer to win Pomona Island beers and merch 🏆

Pomona Island will also be taking over the beer taps for the night with 4 incredible award winning craft brews to try.

As always Chess Club is for all abilities including those who have never played before. Competitors must be willing to learn and / or teach and you’re welcome to bring friends or come alone and make some new ones.

And remember once the game is over the king and the pawn go back in the same box!
