EYG Chess Club x Portuguese Story – ‘Beat the Importer’

This month, our “Beat the Brewer” challenge takes a more sophisticated turn as we welcome Roman Gonitel, director of Portuguese Story Ltd and importer of some of Portugal’s finest wines, to take on the challenge!

Portugal, one of the world’s oldest wine-producing countries, meets one of the oldest board games, a pairing almost as perfect as wine and cheese… minus a couple of e’s.

Beat Roman and not only will you conquer the board, but you’ll also take home a bottle of Portugal’s finest.

As always, our chess club is open to all abilities. Bring friends or come alone and meet some new ones.

📆 Wednesday 1st October

⏰ Drop in anytime: 5 pm – 10 pm

👑 Beat the Importer competition: 6 pm – 8 pm

🍷 Portuguese wine by the glass specials

🐟 Dinner and snacks available until 9 pm
