Chess Club is back next week with another chance to ‘beat the brewers’ this time with local Leeds legends North Brew Co.

Some mega prizes up for grabs including brewery tours, tickets to the Springwell Sessions, North Brew merch and loads of beers!

North will also be taking over the taps for the evening with some incredible brews…

North x Left Handed Giant – WC Pilsner

Everyone loves a Pilsner and so the saying goes, the West Coast is the best coast! So here we’re combining our Springwell Pils recipe with LHGs West Coast Pils recipe.

Volta - Blood Orange + Rhubarb Sour

Volta is a 4.1% kettle sour with plenty of wheat, fresh rhubarb, blood orange purée and fresh orange zest!

North x Docks - Table Beer

this a lovely and refreshing 2.7% Table Beer. Made in collaboration with Grimsby’s Docks Beer, we’ve trialled a new technique of hopping called dip hopping.

North x Big Smoke – DDH Pale

A light malt base bears crunchy biscuit flavours and rounded sweetness for us to lay a heap of hops. Splitting the double hop dosing between the whirlpool and dry hopping, Idaho 7 and Zappa combine to bring a zingy sherbet bitterness full of pithy citrus zest

As always our chess club in Leeds city centre is a fun & informal chess club for all abilities. The bar will be fully stocked with tasty craft beers, natural wines, loads of low and no options and the kitchen will be serving seasonal plates and snacks until 9pm.

Competitors must be willing to learn and / or teach if needed.

Spectators welcome. Drop in any time from 5pm.
